Village Highways Update

Following a recent meeting with Andy from Suffolk Highways, several improvements and upcoming works have been confirmed for the village.

Highways have carried out a number of maintenance tasks, including cleaning all road signs and straightening the Cavenham village sign at the Tuddenham end. In addition, three worn 30mph repeater signs are scheduled to be replaced.

Over the next 10 days, there is a work order in place to:

  • Replace a gulley outside the old saw mill
  • Repair a strip pothole opposite the old saw mill

An inspector will also be assessing the gulley near the church that frequently becomes blocked. A report will be produced, and further works will be arranged. This may take longer, as a more permanent solution is being considered rather than routine clearing.

We will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
