Cavenham Green
Cavenham Green is an award-winning local green space that is managed by a group of local volunteers.
As well as playing host to the local play park, throughout the year the Green hosts a mixture of events. From grass cutting to an annual village fete, Cavenham Green is at the heart of the community.
Originally opened in 2006, its facilities comprise a play area with adventure tower and swings, basketball court, cycle track, birds nest swing, sheltered meeting place, BBQ, footpaths, park benches, picnic benches, snake sculpture, hollowed tree sculpture, open space for games, football goal and trim trail.
Since 2023 the managing committee of the park have been raising funds to carry out vital regenerative works to the park and to date have replaced the trim trail, all of the benches, restored to wooden gazebo and are in the process of rebuilding the BBQ area.
The regeneration project includes replacing all of the play equipment in the park to ensure that the park continues to provide a high-quality green space for future generations to come.
If you or your family enjoy using the park, please consider donating to our fundraiser which can be found at http://cavenhamgreen.co.uk.
