Notice of Additional Fencing to River Lark

See below for email from the Rights of Way Officer for Suffolk City Council

 We have been contacted regarding unlawful fording of the river, specifically by motorcycles. This is causing significant damage to the riverbanks and bed, as well as the Public Right of Way. We are reviewing the installation of some fencing each side of the river where the access points are for the reasons of safeguarding the safety of the users of Public Rights of Way. We have already contacted the Environment Agency and Natural England and have been informed that neither body takes issue with fencing being installed at these locations.

With this in mind, we wanted to see if Cavenham Parish Council would have any comments on our proposal, and whether you would be supportive of fencing at this location? Let me know your thoughts or if you have any comments to make. I’ve included a map below indicating the 2 locations we would be looking to installed fencing (red stars).
